On behalf of the 2024 ICLCA board, we invite you to submit a pre-conference or concurrent session proposal to be considered as a presenter at the Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, UT. The goal of this year's conference is to provide the knowledge and resources necessary from a wide variety of topic areas from administration and management; program and curriculum design; and evaluation and research to help each institution who so desires, get one step closer to gaining a prestigious Learning Center Certification or even applying for the highly coveted Learning Center of Excellence Designation. For individuals attending the conference seeking professional development, this is also an opportunity to start working toward a Leadership Certification and/or moving to a higher level certification. Although, attending the conference for pure enjoyment and networking is also encouraged!
To align with the mission of ICLCA, advancing excellence in the profession, session topics are encouraged that support learning assistance professionals as they develop and maintain learning centers, programs, and services to enhance student learning at the post-secondary level.
Potential topic areas include but are not limited to:
- Promoting professional standards in the areas of administration and management; program and curriculum design, evaluation, and research;
- Acting on learning assistance issues at local, regional, and national levels;
- Assisting in the creation of new learning center programs and/or enhancing exiting programs;
- Devising a strategic plan and/or developing an assessment plan;
- Providing opportunities for professional/staff development within learning centers;
- Supporting and celebrating programmatic and/or staff achievements;
- Coordinating efforts with related professional associations and/or campus partners;
- Designing programs that are flexible and inclusive in meeting diverse student needs
